Visiting scholars from Turin

Our exchange program with Turin, part of the Torino-Toronto Alliance, is well under way: two weeks ago, Joseph Gerbasi was enjoying his time in Italy; this week, we are delighted to welcome six Ancient Philosophy scholars from Turin who will stay and work with us all this week. A warm welcome to them (shown here visiting the Fisher Rare Book Library).

Doug Campbell appointed to Alma College

We are delighted and proud that recent CSAMP graduate Doug Campbell has been appointed to a tenure-track position in the Department of Philosophy at Alma College in Michigan. Doug completed his PhD on Plato’s Timaeus in 2020 under the supervision of Rachel Barney, and has since been with us as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer in Philosophy. We’ll be sorry to see him go – but congratulations, Doug!
