Sidney Robinson Prize in Ancient Philosophy – Call for Submissions

The annual Sidney Robinson Prize in Ancient Philosophy will be awarded for the best paper written in the past academic year (2024-2025) by a University of Toronto student registered for a graduate programme in the Departments of Classics or of Philosophy, or the Institute of Medieval Studies, on any topic in ancient Greek or Roman philosophy (up to 529 AD). The Prize comes with a cash award of $500. Applicants should anonymize their submission (the judgement will be made blind by an external expert), and send it as an email attachment to csamp@utoronto.ca by the end of Friday, 27th June 2025. Papers should be between 5,000 and 10,000 words, and sent as a pdf with the author’s student number as the filename.
